Available Cats and Kittens

All of our cats except Neithhotep were raised strictly indoors in a loving home.

None of our cats are kept caged. All are young, healthy, spayed or neutered, and have had all their first year shots.

We require adopters to sign a contract, which you can see here. We are currently asking a $100 adoption fee for each cat, to help us defray costs; however, we would be willing to adopt out 2 cats to the same home for a total of $150. We will not adopt out cats to adopters who plan to declaw them; you can see our reasons here, and if you have further questions we would be happy to answer them, or you can get more information over the Internet.

We have 3 beautiful adults: Seshemetka, Djet and Herneith, conceived in Cairo, born in Frankfort, Germany, and raised here in Houston. They were born at the beginning of December of 2010; their mother Khenthap was an emergency rescue. We also have Neithhotep, who used to be a feral in Cairo, Menes, who was rescued from Alexandria, and their kittens Aha, Djer, Penebui, Semat, and Kenkenes, born June 20, 2011. (If you are curious about the "funny" names, all these cats are named after kings and queens of the first and second dynasties of Ancient Egypt.)

Djet is a happy-go-lucky clown. He gets along with other cats, and loves to play. He will seek you out to cuddle, but won't harrass you to death about it. He talks constantly, so if you want a cat that will tell you all about his life, Djet is the one for you!
Herneith should probably be in a one-cat home. She doesn't spend a lot of time harrassing you for attention, but will go out of her way to seek out your lap occasionally. She is a very large, very healthy girl who has been a bit of a Momma's girl. She may take a little time to adjust to being away from her mother.
Seshemetka was the tiniest kitten in her litter, but she was always the most adventuresome, being the first to climb out of the nest and go exploring, and she is now bigger than her mother. She is very intelligent, and will challenge you with her determination to turn everything into a toy! She particularly loves for you to wave teasers for her, and will go to where her toys are, especially if she can see them, to "ask" you to play with her...right now! She is affectionate and loves to cuddle.
Neithhotep was a feral cat in Cairo who has adapted amazingly well to indoor home life. She can be a bit shy, and will struggle if picked up, but loves to sit on your lap, and will bump your hand with her head to get you to pat her. Her fur is as soft as rabbit fur, and she has a delicate bell-like voice. She is currently living with 3 other cats, but thinks she is the Alpha. She should be a strictly indoor cat, as she can easily revert to being feral if she gets outside.
Menes was rescued from Alexandria. Menes is shy with strangers, but one of the most loving cats you will ever meet. He loves to sit on your lap and be petted. He has a soft, bell-like voice. He would be a great companion cat for any quiet household. He gets along well with his roommate Djet and loves to play with him, so he should be able to adapt to other cats.
Aha is the largest in his litter. He is an Alpha, and knows it! Intelligent and strong, he is used to getting his own way. He might be best in a one-cat family.
Djer ("Jerry") is the smallest male in his litter. His nickname is Mr. Super Cuddles. He loves snuggling, cuddling, being petted, and will give you lots of kisses. He is full of energy, wants a lot of attention, and is used to living with larger cats.
Penebui ("Penny Lick-it") is full of energy, and loves to lick-lick-lick you! She also loves to play with any kind of cat toy. She will wake you in the morning with lots of kitty kisses.
Semat ("Mattie") is the smallest in her litter. She is a happy, healthy, all-around sociable cat, and used to living with her 4 larger siblings (and being the target for their play).
Kenkenes ("Kenny") is a very large cat, who is the intellectual, the Thinker, of his litter. Very intelligent, he is extremely well behaved, but will be a little shy with strangers until he gets to know you.
